Mr Chow is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based in Manchester, with more than 10 years of experience. In addition to providing a comprehensive range of urological services in the private sector, he works as a full time NHS consultant at The Manchester University Foundation Trust, providing expert management for common urological conditions.
His qualifications include a medical degree from Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospitals in London (MB.BS.), a Masters in Science from the University College, London (M.Sc.), a Medical Doctorate from the University of Manchester (M.D.) and a Certificate in post-graduate medical education (PGCert).
In addition to managing general urological problems, he provides specialist care for kidney stone disease, delivering the full range of treatments including non-invasive shockwave therapy (ESWL), minimally invasive telescopic (ureteroscopy) laser stone fragmentation and keyhole surgery (PCNL) using miniature instruments.
He also carries out keyhole (laparoscopic) kidney surgery for cancerous and benign abnormalities, and minimally invasive procedures on the prostate (TURP & Urolift).
His research work into kidney stone disease has been published in peer review journals and the results presented at national and international meetings. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS), BAUS section of endourology, and the European Association of Urology.
