Mr Graham Young is a Consultant Urologist who sees the full range of urological conditions in his diagnostic urology clinics, and believes strongly that getting to the heart of your urological problem quickly, means firstly listening carefully to you, the patient.

Graham graduated as a research prize winner from the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford. His urology training initially consisted of committing himself to clinical and scientific research in treatments for prostate cancer at the Cancer Research Institute for Cancer Studies at the University of Birmingham. This led to his being awarded the highest research degree of PhD. Graham subsequently completed general urology training in the West Midlands and completed sub specialist training as Endourology Fellow at the prestigious Institute of Urology in Bristol.

He has published research on minimally-invasive methods of treating stones, prostate cancer and other urological conditions.

As well as his interest in all general urological problems, he also has a sub specialist practice in minimally invasive and kidney stone surgery. Graham is the lead urologist for stone disease and minimally invasive surgery at the regional Manchester Stone Centre at the University Hospital of South Manchester (Wythenshawe). Graham regularly receives referrals from throughout the UK for his sub specialist expertise in both the NHS and at BMI.

Graham continues to promote a patient focussed and evidence based approach to urology and is regularly invited to speak at national meetings.

Patient-centred, he will take time to discuss your condition and address all of your enquiries in order to put you at ease and get your full confidence in the treatment that he will offer.
